Although not verified we have reason believe this was purchased in 1946 in China.
The Horse is some sort of hardwood and has the quality of a good chess piece. Not as heavy as ironwood.
The base was made specifically for this horse.
Eyes appear to be glass.
Base is 9.5x3 inches. Horse is about 8.5" tall. 10 inches Long
