Tested again, starts, runs but needs tune up or H L T screw adjustments as it has a little smoke and won't currently idle long. However we think it will cut wood fine if you run with the throttle up a bit or we can try to adjust idle screw up before you leave with it, if it uses a regular screwdriver, if you don't want to look at the filters first.
Also the safety chain brake doesn't seem to kick off chain movement, that will be up to you to fix if you wish to use with this safety feature. It appears to be an easy fix if a new replacement brake is needed. A used one is about $20 if the existing one cannot be fixed.
If you want a 30 day or 7 day warranty the cost will be higher, otherwise you have 24hrs to test as a $20 rental. Basically you need to please test before you leave with the chainsaw.
Pulls with good resistance, not seized not loose.
