Vintage Bridgeport BSA hatchet, patented around 1930, is in good condition for its age. The edge is dull and needs to be sharpened, but has no major dings. The wood handle has I.H. intials carved into one side and the other side has a chip along the bottom edge. Wood is a bit dry, only slight loose, light shrinkage but no splits. The leather sheath is ok flexible with a few cracks and does have two of the rivets on the cutting side are torn out. The snap works fine. The shaft is stamped "Bridgeport Hdwe. Mfg. Corp., Bridgeport, Conn., U.S.A." on one side, and "U.S. Pat. 1,830,663, Made in U.S.A." on the other. Please let the actual pictures be your guide before purchase.
