The Soundcast BlueCast BCR404 is actually a Bluetooth receiver. It is designed specifically to bring Bluetooth capabilities to older, non-Bluetooth Soundcast OutCast and OutCast Junior outdoor speakers.
Instead of broadcasting audio, it receives Bluetooth signals from your smartphone, tablet, or computer and sends that audio directly into the speaker via its integrated 3.5mm plug.
Quick Operation & Pairing Guide
• Turning On: Press and hold the power button on the front panel for approximately 3 seconds until the LED indicator light illuminates.
• Entering Pairing Mode: If it does not automatically enter pairing mode when powered on, press and hold the power button for about 6 seconds until the LED flashes rapidly. Open the Bluetooth settings on your source device (like a phone or tablet) and select "BlueCast" to connect.
• Installation: Simply slot the adapter into the specialized 3.5mm mini-jack utility bay of your compatible OutCast speaker. The rubberized gasket around the adapter creates a weatherproof seal to keep moisture out.
• Charging: Plug a standard mini-USB cable into the side port to charge. The battery provides roughly 8 to 10 hours of playback on a full charge.
