FM RADIO TESTED, working, right and left balance working, although static while moving sliders.
All equalizer sliders are working.
Both Tapes working (Tested 10/2026). Sound is average on tape compared to radio.
Small dent in middle left speaker. Fabric in front of all speakers are good.
Dent, bend in antenna, currently making it so it cannot be retracted down fully.
Velcro added to side to I assume hold the cord; should be easy to remove without damage as this is more a gummy type of glue.
Spot on speaker has been cleaned off.
Looks like additional label stickers have been added to the buttons which are peeling off, and someone has written words above the others, also paper labels glued above the main function buttons. Hopefully these all can be removed without damaging the finish; especially on the plastic chrome.
Battery compartment looks ok. Cover clips in as it should.

Both tapes work, but if local pickup, I would bring a tape your use to listening to. I used Patsy Cline tape, not to familiar with her "sound". I do feel like the tape sound quality was never as good as the radio in most of these boomboxes. The tapes never played as clearly and loud as the radio in my mind at least; as is the case here. Luckily can be adjusted with equalizer. Also I don't think the old photos show the small dent in the middle left speaker (new photo added showing this better), you can kind of see a color change in the old photos where the dents are, but it is definitely worse than the photo as you can't even really see it in the photo. The speaker white mark did come off with just water. On the plus side the fabric in front of the speakers is still good. I guess these are common to crack and fall; maybe made of foam not fabric since I've seen photos of them cracking.
