Bass side "f" hole crack on the top panel along bass bar probably, it doesn't look varnished, so assume it has not been repaired. Some exterior case wear, but it adds character!
Fingernail gap near the back bottom halves along the seam a couple inches, they are still flush with each other.

It represents an exceptional restoration project for a professional luthier or advanced repair hobbyist.

Condition & Structural Notes (Sold Strictly As-Is for Restoration):
Bass-Side F-Hole Crack: There is a structural crack on the spruce top panel extending near the bass-side f-hole zone. This will require standard professional top-plate removal and interior reinforcement/cleating before the instrument is safely brought back to full string tension.
Lower Center Seam Separation: The two-piece flamed maple back plate shows an open center seam separation extending a few inches up from the bottom edge. Crucially, the wood remains completely flat, flush, and has not warped out of plane, allowing for a clean, straightforward luthier re-clamp joint.
Setup Status: Currently very light strung with the bridge. The ebony fingerboard features vintage red student placement tapes.

The interior features a vibrant, gorgeous emerald-green plush velvet lining and its original attached protective dark green satin instrument blanket. Outer latches are functional. This is a magnificent piece of vintage German luthiery with incredible financial upside once restored. Probably worth over $1000 restored, with a rarity bonus and other features that make this violin pretty cool and unique.
