Technical Specifications
Bore Size: Small bore (.438"). Because of its tight, narrow wrap, vintage collectors frequently call this style a "pea-shooter" trumpet.
Design Feature: It includes a distinct underslung third valve slide ring (meaning the ring sits underneath the slide rather than on top).
Key: Built in the key of Bb with a "quick-change" stop rod mechanism on the main tuning slide that lets you drop the horn down into the key of A
Conn built this function right onto the main tuning slide using two specific features: Extra-long slide tubes: The main tuning slide was engineered to be long enough to pull out significantly farther than a regular trumpet slide without falling apart. A stop rod mechanism: A small metal rod with an adjustable thumb screw acted as a physical stopper. You would set the stopper so that when you pulled the slide out until it hit the rod, the trumpet was perfectly in tune in the key of A. Pushing it all the way back in returned it to the key of Bb.
CONDITION:
Front sliders not moving will need cleaned. All valves spring back quickly. Minor crease and tarnish on bell, scratches near valves, case edge wear.
Noticeable tarnishing throughout trumpet bell and surfaces. Black case shows signs of wear along edges.
